MMBA ALASKA MISSION TRIP
SEPTEMBER 21-30, 2012
This is a mission of service to fellow Baptists in Alaska. The thrust of the trip is to prepare meals for those attending the Alaska Baptist State Convention. It will be held at the Rabbit Creek Baptist Church near Anchorage. We will be housed at the Mission House of the First Baptist Church of Anchorage. We will set aside some time to see a bit of Alaska; however the tourist season ends prior to our arrival. Bill Crow has done a number of mission trips to Alaska and can arrange
some private tours, these are briefly outlined below. More information will be forthcoming in June, but we will need a commitment and a check to cover the cost of the flight by May 15 in order to secure the best pricing for the flight. Please mail your check to Cheryl at MMBA. The balance will be due by August 15, 2012. There will only be room for 12 so sign up as soon as possible
to secure your place.
Cost of trip (estimates): The cost is based on the schedule outlined below. The price is
per person.
The Tentative Arrangements and Schedule (Stressing the word, “Tentative”!)
Flight: $700.00 BWI to Anchorage round trip
Food: $365.00 We will be preparing and eating breakfast at the Mission House and at the church where the team prepares meals, all others times we will be eating out.
Sightseeing: $200.00 The time could be cut a couple of days and still get in most everything I mention and that would cut cost about $100.00)
Van Gas: $35.00 per person
Total $1,300.00 (again subject to finalizing the plan)
